Honda VTX 1800 Fiberglass Fairing with 5" Windshield

Honda VTX 1300 R & S Installation

The VTX 1300 R and S models have sheet-metal shrouds covering the fork tubes between the triple trees. These shrouds must be removed before installation.

Once the fork shrouds are removed, the fairing mounts to the exposed fork tubes using PVC pipe spacers. The spacers are necessary because the VTX 1800 inverted forks are larger in diameter than the VTX 1300 fork tubes. Without the spacers, the mounting clamps could crush or damage the fiberglass fairing.

Removal of the shrouds requires removing the top triple tree. Follow the procedure in your motorcycle's service manual.

Honda VTX 1300 C Installation

The VTX 1300 C requires spacers to properly fit the fairing to the fork tubes. The factory turn signals can interfere with the fairing and must be removed from the fork tubes for installation.

Relocating the turn signals below the lower triple tree is not recommended if they could interfere with front suspension travel. Custom turn signals are suggested.
