Saddle bag guards or saddle bag rails for the Pak-King style saddle bag
IT FITS:
Duo-Glide and Electra-Glide Panhead and Shovelhead FL and FLH models from 1963 to 1967.
These will fit any of the Duo-Glide and Electra frames from 1958 to 1984 with the fiberglass style bags.
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK ANY DIMENSIONS YOU NEED IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT THE FITMENT.
I know for certain they did fit with little to no modification through 1977. Details which are true to the original is: the crimped tubing on the front mount as well as a chrome finish and welds consistent with the production line style H-D used back in the day. I don’t think you will be disappointed. I’ve owned original Electra-Glides and NOS pairs of these rails, I’d have no problem mounting these on an original Panhead or Shovelhead. Personally, I think these look much better than the parallel twin tube design on the AMF models.
Unless you luck out and find a set of NOS rails, this is probably your best bet, considering most originals have been laid down, scraped, bent, and have had vibration cracks.
